The study examines issues related to translating an author’s name and character names when these are considered paratexts. introduction briefly describes the interdisciplinary context of into paratextuality, pointing research areas emerging at intersection literary theory, translation studies, onomastics. paper then analyzes methods used in case authors’ names, pseudonyms, title characters, intertextual separate sections, focusing on publications popular literature 20th-century Hungarian prose, especially Zsigmond Móricz, Dezső Kosztolányi Jenő Rejtő foreign languages.
